Study at your own pace, from the Academy’s own classes
Living is a skill that has to be learned and practised. Over six decades of study and research, Swami A. Parthasarathy built a complete, structured course on Vedanta, and he has taught it at the Vedanta Academy in Malavli, India, since 1988. The e-learning courses are built from the live recordings of those classes.
From a direction for young people to the complete course
The courses are joined on the Vedanta Academy’s own e-learning site; this site hosts no recordings. Each course can be started at any time.
The complete course
The three-year course on Vedanta philosophy as it is taught at the Academy, from the basics of the mind and the intellect to the texts themselves. For anyone ready for systematic study over years.
Governing Business & Relationships
The book of that name, chapter by chapter: value systems, work ethics, stress, productivity, leadership, time management and one’s relationship with the world. About the book.
A Direction for Youth
What to do with a life, taught to young people who are choosing a direction: the difference between the pleasant and the good, between what a person wants and what is good for them, and how the intellect decides.
Mould Your Children
What a child needs from the adults around them and how to give it: a higher ideal in the home, a calm mind to copy, and a clear line between a want and a need.
Which to choose
Recorded study suits people who want the whole structure and can keep their own rhythm. A live class gives you the room, the questions and the teacher’s eye on where you are. Many people do both: the Sunday class for the company of the good, and an e-learning course for the systematic study between Sundays.
Residential retreats
The Academy runs youth retreats every May and December and a retreat for adults every February, in Malavli. About the retreats.
