The path

Live with understanding

Vedanta is a logical and practical way to understand life and to master it. It teaches how to work without stress, relate without conflict and act without confusion, and it leads, in the end, to knowing who you are. The path has four steps, and four doors in.

What people notice first

A calmer mind, clearer thinking, and action that fits the situation

Classes are relaxed, reflective and small enough for a conversation. People who attend regularly describe the same three changes, in roughly this order: the mind settles, thinking gets clearer, and decisions start to fit the situation, and the mood of the hour matters less. Everything taught on the path comes back to one habit: pause, think, act.

Classes are offered free, and voluntary contributions keep them free for the next person.

01

Calm mind

Worry about yesterday and anxiety about tomorrow are what tire you. Concentration is the intellect holding the mind on the present activity.

02

Clear thinking

Know yourself, read the situation, then decide. The intellect grows with use.

03

Right action

Full effort, and the outcome held lightly. Use the branch the way the bird does.
